public File(ComponentContainer container)

Creates a new File component.

Parameters:

container - the Form that this component is contained in.

Method Detail

SaveFile

public void SaveFile(java.lang.String text,
            java.lang.String fileName)

Stores the text to a specified file on the phone. Calls the Write function to write to the file asynchronously to prevent the UI from hanging when there is a large write.

Parameters:

text - the text to be stored

fileName - the file to which the text will be stored

AppendToFile

public void AppendToFile(java.lang.String text,
                java.lang.String fileName)

Appends text to a specified file on the phone. Calls the Write function to write to the file asynchronously to prevent the UI from hanging when there is a large write.

Parameters:

text - the text to be stored

fileName - the file to which the text will be stored

ReadFrom

public void ReadFrom(java.lang.String fileName)

Retrieve the text stored in a specified file.

Parameters:

fileName - the file from which the text is read

Throws:

java.io.FileNotFoundException - if the file cannot be found

java.io.IOException - if the text cannot be read from the file

Delete

public void Delete(java.lang.String fileName)

Delete the specified file.

Parameters:

fileName - the file to be deleted

GotText

public void GotText(java.lang.String text)

Event indicating that a request has finished.
